Account Manager

LawnScapes’ account manager is a member of the management team and is responsible for generating and closing sales, ensuring 100% retention of key customers, and making sure that client expectations regarding quality and service are consistently met or exceeded.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Manage and empower field supervisors; hold them accountable.
  • Effectively coach and grow direct reports.
  • Ensure that required equipment is ready for projects and materials are acquired.
  • Monitor on-going job progress.
  • Proactively purchase materials and ensure sufficient inventory.
  • Assist in hiring, training and development of staff.
  • Provide feedback as to recruitment needs.
  • Efficiently schedule route services.
  • Set goals & track progress relating to production, routing and scheduling.
  • Ensure effective transitions between Sales and Production.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Undergraduate degree required or 2 years of experience.

Mowing Foreman

As a member of our turf maintenance team the Mowing Foreman will be responsible for the up-keep and manicuring of all turf areas on our residential and commercial customers’ properties. The Mowing Foreman is a working supervisory level position that leads a team of 2-4 individuals.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Ensure top-quality professional work is delivered on all jobs.
  • Endure production stays within budgeted labor hours.
  • Stock and prepare truck with necessary product and equipment as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including the work site, trucks, shop, and equipment.
  • Actively participate in team meetings.
  • Complete all duties safely with no accidents.
  • Diagnose turf problems.
  • Generate new leads & enhancements.
  • Hit hourly and monthly sales goals.
  • Assist in ensuring that required materials & equipment are acquired and ready for treatments.
  • Coordinate equipment care and maintenance with mechanics.
  • Perform other types of work during off-peak seasons, i.e. snow events.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Minimally 1 year of practical experience preferred.

Maintenance Foreman

LawnScapes’ Maintenance Foreman oversees our crews on routine maintenance jobs. On a weekly basis, a foreman and his crew might perform lawn maintenance. Depending on the size of his crew, the foreman’s primary function may be supervisory or he might work alongside his crew to complete projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Managing the full range of landscape maintenance services from weeding, to lawn care, to trash pick-up, and planting.
  • Knowledge of basic landscape equipment including mowers, blowers, and trimmers.
  • Display professionalism through actions and communication with clients & team members.
  • Keeping track of weekly lawn-care services provided to residential & commercial customers.
  • Experience with controllers and drip/spray irrigation systems.
  • Knowledge of plant care and application of fertilizers and herbicides.

Landscape Foreman

LawnScapes’ Landscape Foreman is responsible for managing people, materials and equipment. The Landscape Foreman will be working in the field leading the crew in either maintaining properties and/or installing plants, hardscape, water features along with other landscaping activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Delivering top-quality professional work on all jobs.
  • Own your jobsite.
  • Perform quality work with no call backs.
  • Perform assigned production within budgeted labor hours.
  • Assist crew leader loading and unloading the vehicle(s).
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including the work site, trucks, shop, and equipment.
  • Act as a spotter for the crew leader when reversing vehicles.
  • Actively participate in team meetings.
  • Work safely with no accidents
  • Perform other types of work during off-peak seasons, i.e. snow events.
  • Grow your skills and knowledge of the company and the industry.

Part-Time Mechanic

LawnScapes’ Part-Time Mechanic is responsible for the repair and maintenance of all service trucks and equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Lubricates equipment in accordance with established procedures and charts; checks and changes oil, oil filters and air filters; fuels and services trucks and other vehicles; replaces hoses, belts, water pumps, batteries and similar equipment and parts.
  • Checks fan belts, hoses, wiper blades and other safety equipment; checks radiators and batteries; checks water and antifreeze levels; checks air in tires and adjusts pressure; repairs flat tires and changes tires as necessary.
  • Maintains records of work performed and the need for future servicing. Cleans and maintains shop facilities and equipment.
  • Performs moderate to complex overhaul and repair work on engines, transmissions, drive unit, brakes, suspension systems, hydraulic systems, fuel systems, cooling systems, alternators, electrical systems, instrumentations and other necessary power equipment.
  • Uses a variety of testing equipment such as ammeters, voltmeters and gauges to determine malfunctions and the need for repair.
  • Drives trucks and other motorized equipment as needed.
  • Performs other related work as required and assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Thorough knowledge construction equipment, small engine equipment, trucks, and small trailer repairs and maintenance.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in varying outdoor weather conditions.
  • Ability to transport himself to each job via GPS, map book, or directions.
  • Driver’s license with no points.

LawnScapes’ Irrigation Specialist will be responsible for monitoring and testing new installations as well as performing spring start up and winterization services. Evaluating customers systems, repair and adjust as needed, as well as educate customers on new products available that will increase their system’s performance while decreasing their water usage.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Deliver top-quality professional work on all jobs.

  • Perform assigned production within budgeted labor hours.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including the work site, trucks, shop, and equipment.

  • Thorough knowledge of irrigations systems with at least 2 years of experience.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Team Members/Laborers

LawnScapes’ team members and laborers are responsible for assisting the crew leader and owning the daily production duties.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Deliver top-quality professional work on all jobs.
  • Perform quality work with no call backs.
  • Perform assigned production within budgeted labor hours.
  • Assist crew leader loading and unloading the vehicle(s).
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including the work site, trucks, shop, and equipment.
  • Act as a spotter for the crew leader when reversing vehicles.
  • Sweep the shop, sharpen blades, and perform other duties as needed when asked.
  • Actively participate in team meetings.
  • Work safely with no accidents
  • Perform other types of work during off-peak seasons, i.e. snow events.
  • Grow your skills and knowledge of the company and the industry.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • High school graduate preferred.
  • 1 year practical industry experience preferred.
